Dark Gothic Romantic Elopement

The goal was to do something new, dark and edgy. Inspired by mood and drama this gothic inspired romantic elopement just felt right.

This first styled shoot of mine was a labor of love! I’ve always wanted to do something on the dark side that nobody else was doing too. Over months I kept coming back to the idea of a dark gothic elopement that had a romantic feel and was emotive. When I contacted other creatives with these ideas I was so thrilled they loved my vision as much as me! It was also published by Whimsically Wed as well! You can check out the publication HERE!

In order to understand where my head was during this process, firstly, know that I AM OBSESSED WITH ALL THINGS TIM BURTON. I’ve seen all his movies, and find his style and creativity is truly fascinating. My husband also bought me his book of illustrations, of which I framed some of the pages out of!

While this isn’t new information to the people that know me, it gives new readers more insight. I gravitate to darker, moody things, and always have! To emphasize this, I even got a Lydia Deetz illustration tattooed on my arm. She not only holds a camera, but I myself am strange and unusual so it makes sense.

THANK YOU VENDORS FOR TRUSTING THE VISION AND BRINGING IT TO LIFE!

The owners of River Bottom Ranch here in Fresno allowed us to use their 300 acre venue for this shoot and it was everything! In particular, the huge plot of land lended to so many good light sources because of the amount of trees!  Charming Treasures Event Rentals provided the table scape and beautiful arch. Also my favorite florist, Red Door Florist, did all the floral elements and styling of the arch! Sassy Sweets by Renee made the amazing cake, and Makeup By Amanda did such a beautiful job with makeup as always.

The models are actually a real couple for the purpose of creating real emotional elements. Lacie and Raul make the time in your schedule to come and be a part of this, so I can’t thank them enough. Enjoy the visual beauty of this dark, romantic gothic elopement styled shoot!

For inquiries regarding all photo packages please don’t hesitate to send a note! I love to take on new projects that are inspiring, and capturing love that’s also real! I also enjoy styling shoots, so if you need help or ideas I can provide that too!

Dress was BHLDN and suit was The Black Tie here in Fresno. The shoes were also out of the Katy Perry collection from DSW.
