Romantic Boho Styled Elopement

FIRST SHOOT THE SHIT STYLED SHOOT WAS A HIT!

First of all, shooting with six other extremely creative ladies for this romantic boho styled elopement was such an honor. Each lady brought a new perspective so it was exciting to see them in action. In contrast, the day was not without a few little hiccups to keep up on our toes! We made it a positive experience and as a result were able to pull off something great!

My models were completely on board, the romance was real, and the collaborations rocked!

As a matter of fact when I first met Rudy and Dana I knew I’d want to photograph them in the future so it was just a matter of time! They are naturals in front of a camera and were definitely the first couple that popped in to my head when I began planning.  Needless to say they absolutely killed it!

I’m still swooning over all the bridal beauty from this and laughing at all the jokes that were made! Nicole of @warner_photography was especially good at the Zena worrier prince sound effects that had us all reeling, while Vanessa of @vanessaelidiaphotography showed us how to get different angles when she LITERALLY climbed into a bush.  Of course we then all ended up in that bush. However, all of us have a unique vision and for that reason we all brought so much variety to the same scene!

I feel like this styled elopement shoot was about so much more than taking pictures too!

Having a smaller group shooting makes all the difference. Rather than all competing for a shot, it ended up feeling like a community. Not only was the pressure is off because it becomes more of a collaboration than a competition, we also got to experience something new together.  It was also really fun to style a romantic boho styled elopement with a different kind of look than what I’ve been seeing. I wanted to set this one apart from the rest with more drama and earthy tones. Overall I think there is a lot of qualities that made the outcome more unique!
